Give goods so we can help people

Besides financial means, (medical) goods are also important in the work Stichting Corantijn does in Surinam.

The (medical) goods and furniture are being gathered in our warehouse in Lelystad. Volunteers sort, pack the relief supplies and load the container which will be shipped on a certain moment.

Arrived in Suriname, the container is transported to our storage location in Welbedacht, Commewijne. There, volunteers unload the container. The goods that have been appointed to a person or institution is handled separately awaiting distribution.

On our terrain in Welbedacht Makandra is situated. This is a warehouse sale where the other part of the goods are sold at very low and affordable prices. Especially for those families who are less fortunate.
Stichting Corantijn does not have a profit motive, all costs incurred are settled with the proceeds of the sale. By working this way we also provide two modest jobs.

With the amount that remains after costs have been deducted, local projects are realized, such as social housing.
