Besides that Stichting Corantijn receives donations like clothing, shoes, school materials etc. we sometimes get offered complete furnishings. This time it comes from a house in Amstelveen.
First, on the basis of photos, an assessment is made of what is interesting for the foundation so that only those goods are shipped that can actually be used in Surinam.
Mid-June and early July a team of volunteers worked on it.
All the donated furniture, curtains, crockery, cutlery clothes and shoes were collected, transported and put into the container, which temporarily is, for free, positioned on a site in De Kwakel.
Thanks to the entrepreneur who makes his site available and to Bruinsma Natuurlijk for lending a truck and driver to help with this job.
