The primary school Ds. Rasmus M. Schmidt School is located in the village of Brownsweg. During a previous visit it became apparent that teachers need practical learning materials for their students.
Our volunteers collected the necessary goods in The Netherlands together with a few sponsors. The school received brightly colorful clocks so that the pupils learn to tell the time in a playful manner. School materials, such as notebooks, pencils, pens, etc., have also been taken into account because there is always a shortage of these.
The children in Surinam enjoy learning and love to go to school. But next to learning, playing is also nice. That has also been thought of. A lot of balls were brought and distributed.
In no time it was a party, especially with the boys because they love football. A short video was made during playtime to show how happy the children are.
