This lovely little girl, Desaira, received a baby walker from Stichting Corantijn.
At the end of the pregnancy, her mother fell hard on the stomach.
This had severe consequences for the unborn child.
As a baby, Desaira did not respond to noises or voices. After examination she appeared to be deaf and she could not babble or form little words.
Now she is one and a half years old and it turns out that she cannot walk.
To the parents this baby walker is a big help and maybe they can motivate Desaira in this way to move and use her legs.
