Out of the hammock, into the wheelchair

The owner of a plantation near Welbedacht went to Makandre with an aid request.
Not for himself but for a child of a family that works for him.

The child, a boy, is multiple disabled and cannot walk. While his parents are at work he lies waiting in a hammock the whole day. On the weekends he goes together with his mum and dad to their village in the Tapanahoni resort, where a lot of Indians live. This resort lies in the Sipaliwini district in the east of Surinam.

In order to have the boy more in their vicinity there was the need for a wheelchair. Fortunately Stichting Corantijn had one available. Now he can go with them to their work and when they are off they can take him for a walk or a visit in the neighborhood.
