Foundation stone laying outpatient clinic Dankbaarkondre

In the region of the village Dankbaarkondre, Mast 71, several families live in numerous villages. There are no medical facilities available. The Surinam authorities do not have enough funds to set this up.

Stichting Corantijn wants to change this situation by building and establishing a new outpatient clinic in cooperation with the New Apostolic Church Netherlands and the New Apostolic Church West Germany . Two homes for medical staff, a doctor and/or nurses, will be built nearby.

On Saturday the 19th of November the foundation stone of the building was laid. The district commissioner of Brokopondo, Mr. Ludwig Mendelssohn, director of Public Health drs. Rakesh Gajadhar Sukul, director Primary Health Care, Mr. Herman Jintie, the doctor at the outpatient clinic, Dr. Bagloe, and, on behalf of Stichting Corantijn and the New Apostolic Church, Mr. Harvey Sanredjo were present.

Our aim is to have the outpatient clinic and homes ready in April/May 2023.
