Next to the fact that Stichting Corantijn donates clothing a number of times per year a bunkopu seri is being held in villages. The villagers can buy clothes at very low prices.
This social sale event is always very successful. Women and children pick out clothes fit them on make a nice ensemble and thus a new look.
The revenues are being used to organise new events in the villages. For instance a sports day or a Christmas meal.
