The empty sea container, which arrives in Surinam right about now, was brought to our warehouse in Lelystad at the beginning of July of 2021.
Our volunteers went to work to fill it with furniture, medical and non-medical goods.
By the time the sea container was filled and the documents for the shipping company made in order the container was picked up mid-January 2022 to be taken to the Rotterdam harbour to be on a ship. A very big thank you to all our volunteers who organised this with the transport company early in the morning at 7 am.
Mid-February the container arrived in the Paramaribo harbour.
Next stop our warehouse in Welbedacht.
Here the container was unloaded. The goods with names on them were put aside to be distributed later on to people and institutions.
