What does Bos Benelux BV stand for?
Bos Benelux BV, a dynamic organization with customers in the waste water treatment, industry and agriculture. The company imports and distributes pumps, mixers, cutters and airing systems for the treatment of industrial fluids , waste water and fertilizers within the Benelux countries.

How did we come into contact with Bos Benelux bv?
We approached Bos Benelux bv to help us with their expertise to build a water tower in Asigron in the Rep. of Surinam.

What does this sponsorship entail?
Bos Benelux BV was prepared to contribute financially to the above mentioned project and donated € 5000,=. The company will also help in the purchase of a source pump and water tanks.

What role does Stichting Corantijn play?
For some years now the Asigron population has a water problem. The local primary school is threatened with closure because of the lack of fresh drinking water in the dry season. Getting the water from the river is no option because of the pollution, which for years has been caused by the gold mining upstream. Two years ago a small well was drilled which provided clear and pure drinking water. At the end of 2010 the idea took shape to build a water tower behind the church and fill this with water from this small well so as to provide sufficient drinking water, even in the dry season.

We would like to thank Bos Benelux bv very much for their help!
Through their support we are now able to build this water tower in Asigron and in doing so providing the local population with one of the first necessities of life. Besides this, we can now guarantee the schooling of many children in the primary school of this village.
